Roof leaks and mounting problems from rushed installs, and systems that never hit the promised savings. Warranty tickets can sit for months, but ADT is still a solvent company that says it will honor its 25-year warranties — so a persistent, well-documented claim may get a repair, which is more than customers of the bankrupt installers can say. Watch for contracts signed with third-party sales outfits using the ADT name; the paperwork may not match who actually did the work.
